11/14/2022 0 Comments The last of us dlc playthrough![]() There are plenty of reasons to dive back into the story and a chapter select option to boot. However, that doesn't mean that there isn't anything to do in The Last of Us Part II after the credits roll. The Last of Us Part II isn't an open-world game (besides Ellie's "Seattle Day One" mission), so you can't go back and just wander around the world and see the sights. Updated December 30th, 2020 by Josh Davison: There isn't a postgame mode to The Last of Us Part II beyond the New Game+ option which takes you through the story again. There are some very fun ways to add longevity to The Last of Us Part 2 and replay the game in many different ways that will make it much more interesting the second time around. It includes a New Game+ feature as well as many extra trophies to collect among lots of other tasks to complete. RELATED: The Last Of Us 2: 10 Unpopular Opinions (According To Reddit) A lot of players will immediately want to replay the game and experience the characters all over again. You likely have unlocked several of the trophies below during your first playthrough, but because everyone plays and upgrades differently, they are listed here rather than in the walkthrough itself.2020's The Last of Us Part 2 has a lot of content in the story, and it is much longer than its predecessor. Players will eventually finish it and be left with the post-game content to enjoy. Next, let's talk about the miscellaneous trophies that were not mentioned in the walkthrough during your first playthrough. If, however, your goal is just the platinum trophy, then avoid turning on Permadeath Mode as it will only frustrate your second playthrough. Be sure to check that page out before starting your second playthrough, as you may want to tack Permadeath on to unlock the related trophy if you are looking to 100% the game. You can learn more about Permadeath Mode on the next page of this guide. There are multiple levels you can select when setting Permadeath on your playthrough. While the title of the mode sounds like it would be a chore, it's actually not as bad as the title suggests. THE LAST OF US DLC PLAYTHROUGH FREEThere is one slight exception, however, thanks to the inclusion of Permadeath Mode included in the free DLC. Also, choosing higher difficulties causes fewer supplements and parts to appear throughout the game, meaning there's a possibility you won't find enough to fully max out the skills and weapons, thus requiring a third playthrough. Unless you want an added challenge, there's really no need to increase the difficulty. To make the second playthrough as fast as possible, it's recommended that you stick with the same settings as your first playthrough. You then need to play as far into Abby's side of the story until both her skills and her weapons are fully upgraded You don't have to complete the whole game by the time you finish Day 3 for Ellie, if you've been scavenging the areas thoroughly for supplements and parts, Ellie will be fully maxed out. You're upgraded and your weapons are stronger making encounters with enemies much easier, especially if you stick with Very Light difficulty. It will go faster because you no longer have to worry about any collectibles. There is plenty of good news to know about the second playthrough: Unlocking these trophies is our ultimate goal for our second playthrough. Unlocking these trophies during your first playthrough is impossible as there are not enough resources in the game to max out either your skills or your weapons. Like the first game, The Last of Us Part II has several trophies tied to maxing out your skills and fully upgrading your weaponry. This is a lot better than having to find all the weapons again like you had to in Part I. However, this time around, all upgrades and crafting recipes are available right from the start of the game, and all weapons you've gathered will become available once Ellie reaches Seattle on Day 1. For the most part, it follows the same concept: you get to play through the game again with all of the upgrades and equipment that you gathered over the course of your first playthrough. THE LAST OF US DLC PLAYTHROUGH PLUSIf you played New Game Plus in The Last of Us Part I, you should be familiar with New Game Plus in this game. It was a long journey filled to the brim with collectibles, but we're not quite done yet, at least not if you want the shiny platinum waiting to be collected. Well done on completing The Last of Us Part II. ![]()
